BARBERA
Considered as a common wine for a long time, today Barbera can boast an excellent quality able to meet the needs of the most refined palate.
The ridges around Tortona are full of this vines, with their garnet red bunches with little, sweet and juicy grapes.
Its birth dates back to ancient times and it is likely to derive from an ancient autochthonous vine seed already cultivated in the Roman Age on the high grounds between Tortona and Casteggio, beside Via Postumia and on the hills between Tortona and Acqui along Via Aemilia Scauri.
